how is that counted as a shirt? it's a front part of a shirt...it's literally a rubber band...

Ummm, not in USAPL, or the IPF, the only organization worth counting. Not only would the shirt be HIGHLY illegal (triple ply, over elbows, open back), the pause wasn't long enough, feet weren't flat, and his lockout would not impress a single IPF judge.
Seems like Gene's shirt gets more and more rediculous, rather than him getting stronger. I'd like to see Mendy hit 1024 soon (his next goal) in a shirt NOT pulled over the elbows.

sketchy..... the shirt, and not looking like he locked out all of the way until the spotters grabbed a hold of the bar again, wouldnt that get disqualified in the olympics?????

he was wearing it, and doing board presses.....why?

why not? how high were the boards? he might still be gettin use out of the shirt at certain heights. also, it will allow him to get some explosion off the boards to maybe break through an area where he gets stuck, like lockout...
