hi guys.
i am new around here. i signed up for the 12 week abdominal program..it seemss there are only 2 training days..i have a belly which i can't seem to get rid of even when i was skinny..yup..was..so i need to lose fat all over now..

what i like about the program is that it has only 2 training days..i used to do ab exercises every day but stopped since it didnt seem to be showing any improvement..

my question..
is 2 days effective enough? my current waist size is 34 (yes, i know it's hugh~sigh) inches..and i am hoping to reduce it to 28 at the end of the program..anyone who's been on the program find that kind of result feasible? if not, what would a realistic expectation be? also, if anyone has any success stories please put them up? i noticed there were none in the messsage boards..or maybe i missed it..because i find it's motivating when i know people have done it and got successful with the program..sorry for the long post..looking forward to answers ssoonn..thanks guyss!!:)

What you're looking for is going to have to come from diet, weight training and cardio exercises...in that order. Fat loss happens in the kitchen, by creating a caloric deficit with good healthy natural foods. The exercise is to create more of a deficit, so regardless if you're doing it 1, 2 or 5 days a week it will help.

Asimmer...didn't we start a success story thread around her somewhere?

Stump is right, if you want to lose the fat, it's gonna be from diet. A workout routine or cardio will help but the mass of it will be from diet. With that being said take some time and browse the specific diet and nutrition forum. Lots of good info there. Pay close attention to "grocery list for healthy eating" and "diet thread", they're both bookmarked towards the top.
As for the 12 week abs program, this will pick up to more days a week if a remember correct and more intensity, the exercises also get changed up. This program will help see more definition, but only after you've dieted and lost the layer of fat covering them, which by the way is the last place to lose weight and the hardest, so hang in there. I did the program a couple years back and was close to seeing my results of it but never did becuase I strayed from my diet. You cannot do this. It may sound a little intimidating and kinda long and tediuos, but when you think about it, what else are you going to be doing? Might as well do it right and make it last. Something you struggle for is much easier kept than something you give up on, trust me, I know.

yes diet is one of the only way to lose your tummy, but don't worry i am on the same program and you will see that you will be steping it up a notch every week i am up to three days a week and 4 reps of 15 they will also give you different exercises that will begin to challenge you. keep it up you will see a difference expecially if you add in the diet and some good cardio.
