hi! I have just finished your suggested "12 Week Program" and I am now at the "two weeks resting" period. I have added a couple of inches to my chest, and inch to my arms and half inch to my thighs and claves after following this program. I'm glad with the results since i am a hardgainer. I have a couple of questions for you guys: here they are: 1- What shud be my routine after the resting period. I have to "define" what i gained i guess but wud appreciate a suggestion of routine for this time. 2- When shud i go back to a "volume increse" routine again? two months from now? 3-I've gained some fat around my belly....Which shud be the best fat burner i shud be start taking if any? 4-during my 12 week training period i DID not ANY aerobic exersise. Shud i start some now? I am afraid to loose some mass.... 5-and what shud be, ruffly, my new diet? Less carbs i imagine....And i I think that i shud stop taking my "Myoplex" Shakers as well, right?
Thanks in advance for your help A.

1. You can select a tone program from ft. Toning is basically the same kind of routine as mass except there are more concentration/isolation exercises and it's higher reps.
2. Generally yes, 8-12 weeks of toning, then mass again.
3. Well, if you're concerned about losing mass then I'm not sure. I mean I would just start doing some cardio 2-3 times a week to get rid of the fat, and if you want you can use a fat burner. My suggestion is Animal cuts from universal. 4. I'm not familiar with myoplex, but if it's a weight gainer then yes you should stop taking it and start taking a protein. As far as diet it should stay similar just less of it. Ft gives you nutritional goals for cutting if you select that program.

Myoplex is a protein shake. It is a little high in carbs and fat, but as long as you don't take too much, I guess it will be ok, but try to go for something a little less in fat and carbs if you want to lose the gut.

I just banged out the 12weeker myself and have moved on to an 8 week tone and lose weight program. I still keep my protein intake high to keep the muscle I have and am working in Animal Cuts as a supp. I am keeping my carb levels a little higher then normal too. GOOD LUCK!

I am just starting the 12 week mass blast, but am unsure how often I should really be going to the gym. Right now I'm managing 4 times a week, but is this enough? I used to go 5 times about 2 years ago and found I was able to survive that, but finding time now is much harder. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanx

Well Gainer, no real answer for you there. Everybody is different so no standard answer to your question.
Feel your way, listen to your body. If you have a lot more energy then go, if you feel tired well, then stay at home (the needed time to recover also depends on your diet).

Gainer,
Philia is right...everybody is different. But, I think I was like you, I used to go 5 times a week and easily do a workout. But it is hard for me to find time too, sometimes 4 times a week is hard to fit in for me right now. But the 12 week mass program is great and will work your muscles. Believe me! Just work hard at it and push yourself. It might look easy on paper, but it gets hard and is a great workout. Just try it for a couple weeks and if you feel that it isn't pushing yourself, mix it up some.
