It's very safe providing you are shown how to use the equipment properley and also you must eat accordingly.
When do we start?

My advice is to start slow. By that I mean learn everything you can about this lifestyle. Make usre you get the form down before lifting the heavy weight. On that subject I would not think of lifting heavy till you are 16. Does this mean that you should not lift? No but Imean keep the weight where you can reach at least 10 resp on each set. Good luck!

mugzie... the FT workouts are good workouts... trust us... and, a workout is only as good as the effort YOU are willing to put into it. Nothing will happen by tomorrow...

Starting weight is a trial and error thing... if you can complete your reps without any challenge at all, then up the weight...

As for supplements, I don't use any, so I can't give you any details, but many use a protein shake following their workout...

Seeing results depends on your body... some people can see results right away (couple weeks), but if you are already in decent shape, it may take longer to see results.

Make sure you are eating a clean diet with your exercise. You can do all the crunches you want, but if you are eating ice cream and Doritos all the time, you may never see a six pack.

Can you justify or back up your false statement?

I knew you will not be happy :)

I don't think etaing like we eat make our stomach, earth really happy.
The body is not made to be so low in fat, to have so much muscle.
You are not made either to lift so heavy.
It's not good for the back.

And when you are only 14, you're still just growing up... Till 21, in fact, i shouldn t lift either :)

It wasn't an insulte, for sure lifting weight is healtier than doing nothing, but it s not the healtier thing to do...

I wouldn't lift heavy weights at 14, I would wait to lift heavy until you go through your growth spurt at 15-16(although some males do go through one earlier at 14 or later at 17-21)......but light weight lifting can be beneficial....especially if you take the time to learn proper form...

Bodybuilding mantra is one of the healthiest you can adopt...for now you can perfect your nutrition...take this time to learn to cook and prepare healthy meals as well as to become more educated in this area(I know at only 14 this may not sound like fun but it will really become useful later in life...you can try to watch your mom cook at first...)...you don't necessarily even need to be lifting weights at this time to become knowledgable....in aspects of bodybuilding

The reason most people don't have as much muscle or have more fat is because our bodies adapt to our lifestyles....poor eating habits and combination of lack of exercise and or poor genetics cause people to store unncessary fat...which maybe couple hundred years ago was useful in times of scarcity but that's no longer the case for most people...also as you begin to lift weight...you strengthen your bones, tendons, improve brain function and learn to deal with stress better....The back is like any other muscle and it will become progressively stronger and in fact help prevent or help overcome back pain easier than those who never lifted....Now that I lift consistantly my lower back recovers fairly quickly even when i tweak it as compared to the pain I felt for 6 months when i didn't exercise and same thing happened....

you seem to have very ignorant and outdated ways(this is not an insult so I hope you don't take it as such) of thinking...this is the same thing my mom/as well as people I ecounter say while never exercising and bordering on being obese.....with sky high blood pressure and horrible dietary habits....as well as back pain....when you bring up unconventional ideas at least try to present valid arguments for why that's the case...because not only are you not yourself specialized in this are(hence don't have much groundwork from whcih to build....) nor support of respected sources in the field who support your assertions....
