Im 14 years old, 130 pounds and 5'9. I've only lifted once, about 3 months ago when I was still 14 and my max bench was 100. Is this low for my body weight, age, height?
How often should I start lifting? What is a good program to start on, I signed up for one here but it doesn't incorporate benching, squats, etc. Also, will lifting at this age affect my growth?

I've done the "gain muscle mass program here a few times and it did include bench press and squats. Not sure why yours doesn't. I'm not sure a gaining program at 14 is the best choice. You may want to look at a defination or lean mass program. Don't go for the heaviest weight you can handle. Aim more for higher reps and perfect porm for the time beeing. Be sure you eat properly and get plenty of rest. You don't make gains while lifting, they come from the rest and diet thing.

Well, I decided to go to the gym today and apparently my new max bench is 140? I don't know how I became that much stronger over a period of 3 months without lifting. Maybe the reason for this was because I was using one of those benches where you twist the bar to lock it which keeps my form better and last time I was using a regular bench.

Those benches I believe are called smith machines, and it could be that you have just grown and gained muscle naturally, and it could be that the smith machine is messed up. What I mean by that is sometimes the smith machine takes a little weight off the bar. The one at the gym I go to holds up a 45 pound barbell in the air. Not good. That's why I don't use those for benching anymore. I still use it for squats, but that's mainly beacuse I'm to afraid of not being able to come back up. By the way, I'm 15 years old 5 8 and 150 lbs. Good luck with gaining muscle mass.

Smith machine spots are awful, for one they dont allow the body to go down and up in a natural motion, and your missing all the stablization muscles used to squat. Try doing the same weight (-30 or so) on free weights and you'll be surprised how much your missing.
