Had this strained tendon rectus abdominus for two month now.Everyday life it is not a problem and a lot better than what it was.Ive tried a couple of 1/2 weight bicep/tricep excersises and had no reaction to that.Left it a couple of days and done 3 sets quarter weight leg extensions followed by leg curls,no pain at the time but was getting a dull ache the next day on injured area.My doc said it was a 3 week injury, but can take longer.I am beginning to think this will never heal properly, are there injury specialists my doctor could refer me to?should i keep checking every couple of weeks with light weights?should i just lay off for say 3 month for a full rest?
I am going back to the docs next week any advice would be greatly appreciated.thanx

in 3 weeks i don't think you'd loose much. I just took about 10 days off for spring break and i went totally off my diet and did a good amount of drinking. The size loss was mostly due to my muscles shrinking and lack of hydration. After 1 week in the gym I was back to size and i felt great. So in short you wont loose practically anything if you have a good diet, loss of muscle is partly due lack of nutrition and protein. what you will notice is shrinkage:laugh: but that will go away once you start working those muscle again
