Hey guys,
I just completed the 12 week mass gain program and am pretty happy with the results. After you complete the 12 week program you're supposed to rest for 2 weeks then start it up again. My question is this: how does my diet change during this 2 week break? During the 12 week program I was averaging 5 meals per day with around 180 grams protein per day. Started the program at 150lbs and ended it 162 lbs. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Good job. As to your diet question, I would stay on the same diet or at least pretty close to it. The two weeks off is to let your muscles repair and they'll need the protein. Also from what I heard from other people, when people stop weight training and lose a lot of size, it is because of their diet. They're not eating enough to keep their body in that shape. One question I have is I signed up for the 12 week mass program and only 8 weeks show up on the training schedule. I know theres 2 weeks off at the end so shouldn't it show 10 weeks for lifting, filling in the workouts on a weekly basis?

Well, keep your diet the same, it would be a shame to come this far and deviate from where you've come. You need a break in order to allow your muscles full recovery, but you still need to maintain plenty of protein to keep the precious muscle you've been working so hard for. Also, just because it says break doesnt mean you have to quit exercise and lifting for that period of time. Have some fun go swim, play volleyball...basketball...baseball...golf...have fun. Also if you feel the urge to lift go ahead, its just saying don't go all out on your rest period. Go in and toss around a few light weights to help keep yourself tight. Just don't follow a formal program.
Congratulations and keep improving.

thanks guys.
timbaland - the program will go through 12 weeks of lifting and 2 weeks of rest so it should show 14 weeks of activity. The program only allows you to read workouts one week in advanced unless you join the professional upgrade.

My workout program still only shows 8 weeks instead of 14 and I signed up for the 12 week mass program. I wonder why. The 12 week ab workout shows all 12 weeks.
