I thought women are recommended to take 2000 cals a day! I am trying to loose weight afer child birth. Is 2344 cals a day not a bit too much:cool:

In order to get a answer you should provide more info about yourself. Age, weight, activity level, etc... Also, you mentioned after child birth, are you breast feeding? That will be a factor as well.

That depends on your activity level and whether you are breastfeeding or not. There are no set guidelines for how many calories a woman or a man should consume. Everyone is different in that regard. Although 2344 sounds a bit high to me as well, if you indicated that your activity is high and if you have a higher basal metabolic rate (BMR) then your calories consumed should also be higher.

I am 32 years, 5.3 height and 80kg. I would like to go back down to 55-60kg. I am not breast feeding and not really active just usual daily activities. please help
