Make your goal and follow a plan. Also keep a record of your progress.
To early to throw in the towel, it is the beginning of a new lifestyle.

The goal sounds daunting. I was on the verge of giving up until I stumbled across this site.

A little bit of background: I've been 30-40 lbs overweight for over a decade. I'm determined to change that this year. For the past 8 days, I have been hitting the gym at 8 am for 2 hours of intense cardio (not HIIT but enough to result in huffing and puffing and lots of sweating). I've stopped eating junk fund. The results so far are that I'm exhausted, sore, very grouchy and my clothes are feeling even snugger than usual.

Tonight, I came across bb1fit's Cardio Questions post and it completely revolutionized the way I'm seeing my workout plan. I'm going to try lifting weights for 3 days, cardio for 3 days and rest for 1 day. If you're just starting your weight loss plan, maybe we can motivate each other (don't know how that would work - pm?). I definitely don't want another day like today when I was ready to throw in the towel.
