Hi dm, My best advice to you is to get motivated now, DO NOT WAIT...I am 51 and was fit most of my life, Im now working hard to take of an extra 20 lbs. that I have put on over the last year. At 50 my metabolism has almost come to a screeching holt, it just gets more difficult as you get older. Woman Up, you can do it!

Yes you can! You want to do it but you are probaly confused on how to start.
Start with a sound exercise program, and then start eating to help your performance. Write down everything you eat for a week and review it. Good luck.

46, me too, and you have taken the right step to getting back into the level of fitness/shape that you want. It definitely comes with some work but as women in our mid 40's we can still rock and never, never, let anyone tell you otherwise!
Good Luck!

WOW! Almost sounds like me. I'm down to a size 10 but have a long way to go. I have been told I have high blood pressure. I have been working out for 3 months and have made a noticeable improvement. But the blood pressure started :( I have been training very hard. I work out every day. From being able to NOT do a push up to being able to do 20 full ones ( 38 in a minute ). I need to start over with my work out. Begin again! suggestions????

Inspy, sounds cliche, but, "just do it!" Whether it's working out at the gym, your home, enjoying the outdoors, don't hesitate, just do it. Your b/p is a great motivator. If you can stay off the anti-hypertensive meds and regulate your health through diet and activity you become an important role model for others. You have just empowered those people who don't believe it's possible to be healthy by living a positive, active life.

Winter can be a tough time to get into and stay in shape. It takes a little more will power so every day that is a success, give yourself extra credit.

Good Luck!
