Well I'm new here, and am not really sure how this is going to work. I quit smoking *WOO WOO* and put on almost 50 pounds. At first I didn't really notice it, and then before I knew it I was posting a message on this site. I'm 28 and 30 is knocking, with great force I might add, at my door. I need motivation, something in which I lack. I need will power, and I need encouragement. I really feel I am going to achieve my goals, I just needed a kick in the right direction! I'M READY!!! I really hope this keeps me motivated! Good luck to all!

Good luck... I'm new to this site but have been working out for a long long time. Just be persistant and you will get some results. The key to losing all that weight is keeping up with your routine rain, sleet, sore, or whatever. Let me know if I can help at all.

Gratz on dropping the smokes. I am in the same situation. I just had planned prior to quitting that somehow I was going to be more physically active. I did, joined a gym, and went..and this was shortly after dropping cigs. I still gained weight, but I don't think as much. Put it this way, you have your lungs back, go use them. Good luck =)

How are things going?

First of all thanks so much for all the good luck wishes! I need it! It's taken me a while to post because I've been kind of lurking around seeing what all this site has to offer. I worked out a lot when I was a little younger. Non stop actually, then I got comfortable and before I knew it POOF here I am. I've been trying different weight training techniques. Squats (AKA Hell) Lunges (Lives next to squats in hell) Walking lunges. They all are keeping me going. And when I'm done I may be in pain but it's that good pain.
Quitting smoking definitely was a wonderful thing for me, I just wish I had more self control for other things. I'm working on it!
Thanks a lot!
Hope all is well with everyone!
Take care, talk soon!
