What is more important than the number the program comes up with is how many calories you have been getting in up to this point. Write down everything for a week and figure out your average daily caloric intake - you can then increase it up a few hundred or down a few hundred. up if you are bulking.

Here is an example of 4,500 calorie daily plan - I thought it might help a little...

Eat more than 4,500 calories, 300 grams of protein under 15$ ( I can't do this because 1) No time 2) my stomach can't handle it!

Breakfast: 6 whole large eggs, 100 g oatmeal, 1 medium orange. Total calories: 845 Protein: 38 Costs: $1.74

Snack: 1 quart milk, 6 tbsp peanut butter, 2 slices whole-grain bread. total calories: 1200 protein: 66 Costs: $1.91

Lunch: 6 oz canned tuna/chicken, 2 slices whole-grained bread. Total calories: 390 Protein: 33 costs: $1.21

Snacks: 8 oz cottage cheese, weight gainer ( get-big drink) Total calories: 820 protein: 65 costs: $2.95

Dinner: 8 oz lean hamburger, baked potato, 8 oz frozen spinach. Total calories: 900 protein: 40 costs: $2.50

Snack: Protein powder drink, 2 tbsp peanut butter.
Total calories: 400 protein 60 costs: $1.90

Approximate Total calories: 4,500 Protein: 300 Costs: $12.00

i wouldn't take 5100 calories in....yoru caloric intake in my opoinon shoudl be based on your "lean weight". Since that is the part metabolically active. YoOur about my size, i'm but 6'1"262lbs.......but i eat atelst 260g protein.......and 1-3 carbs per lb of lean weight. My lean weight is abotu 205lbs.......so I eat anywhere from
going low carb 205g....med carb intake 410.......to high 600plus.
If i'm workoing out that day.....i'll take in about 205 -300 or so, non work out days I keep it under 250( well I try).......and if its a crazy day, where I have practice, a game, and a work out......i'll take 400+, i adjust to my needs.....an di try to keep my fat about 80g a day.

so...
260g proteinx4 =1040cal
300g carbsx4(average)= 12000cals
80g fatx9 =720

total=2960 is my average day, just to maintain
i try to add 500 or so if i'm "bulking"
I have best results taking in about 3500 calories, in the summer when I try to put on about 5 to 10 good solid lbs.
Faster you try to add weight, more fat it will be.:dumbbell:
