im nearing the time to kill. yes, im about to embark into a 6months of work(8am to 5pm) and study(5:30pm to 8pm). Now i plan to have my workout from 8pm to 9pm... can anyone please tell if it is possible? if it is, is there is a good high-intensity routine for an hour(i cant get beyond 9pm)? or tell me, is it utterly, ridiculously impossible...

Why workout for an hour... sometimes only 35 minutes can be a fantastic workout. Plus..depends on what your workout goals are...gain mass, be lean, do you want to to cardio too? I can't seem to sleep that well if I workout in the evening..so I usually do my workouts in the morning. When I'm teaching an 8am class..somtimes I have to hit the gym by 5am!
Yikes...

I agree with Ken about working out in the morning. As a teacher, I have to be at school early. So, I wake up at 4am and I'm working out by 4:45. I take care of other stuff after school like mowing the lawn, washing the car, etc. Its all about time management. Also, working out in the morning on an empty stomach will burn about 300% more fat.

I concur with you guys. I work out in the morning at 5:30-6:00 also. Have to be to work by 8. It's especially nice because I'm the only one in the gym!! 30 minutes or so is all it takes with ft's program. Even Saturday is not so long anymore. Works best for me!!:) Don't kill yourself bluerocks. We all need some downtime.

... you serious? 5am? man, you're an early bird! anyway, i can not do that early because the gyms here are, well, not run by early birds... but do you think i can squeeze cardio? uhh, do you think gaining mass and getting lean can go together?

I say do whatever you can commit to... you can tweek it later once it becomes a habit. I know for me I have to go to the gym everyday...sometimes I'm only there for a few minutes..somtimes over an hour..but it's my pit stop every morning.
As to your second question..you know..I haven't had much luck gaining mass and getting lean at the same time. Maybe I can't figure out the math or something. I just know when I'm in lean-mode, I do more cardio, light weights, and am very carful about my calories...when in mass-mode, I cut back on cardio, really push the weights, and eat about 1lb of protein per lean muscle mass. Seems to work for me..

i work and go to school also. my husband and i just started working out again and we don't get to the gym until around 8:15 pm or so. i don't know about your high intestity routine but i know that your schedule can be done. just be careful and try to take at least one full day off from everything, just for yourself. thats what i do anyway! good luck!

I really wish you the best of luck. But YOU MIGHT NOT MAKE IT. In order for your muscles to grow, and for you to be healthy your body needs rest, if you don't give your body enough rest your output will be horrible. So make sure you know what you are getting yourself into. Again, Good Luck!!!
