Hello everyone,

I been re-working out at the gym for now 3 months. Not wanting to end up like most of the people at the gym that go there everyday for the past years and not gain a single pound of muscle, i decided to take a program with a GOOD coach. This is the Belgian champion in body building.

I obtained a Diet, of reasonable carbs (100gr of rice/pasta per meal) and a good amount of protein to be split into 6 meals a day which i do.

Now here is my problem, I weigh 72.5KGs, probably muscled a little bit but all is beneath a little layer of fat :( and above all i happen to have some fatty shapes on my hibs (i hate that OMG!)

I had a chat with my coatch the other day and told him i wanted to do a "cutting" in order to decrease body fat and start up from there on gaining mass but he didn't agree with it.

He told me "You will loose your fat while gaining mass with my program, a certain amount will be lost in the OMEGA 3 you should be taking everyday, the other from the workout and the rest on your diet".

Now I don't mind believing in what he tells me, I mean after all he is my coatch, i must have faith in him. But is it normal that after 3 months of intense workout i haven't lost a little bit of fat ?

please help me, an advice a hint an idea, your oppinion would really help.

(If any additional information is needed, for i'm not really sure what info is needed to make a conclusion on your end let me know.)

Your training does not have to vary much for losing fat. Intensity will keep muscle from atrophying. You will lose fat if he has given you/or you designed yourself the proper diet that will entice fat loss...i.e...calorie deficit. 10-15% is an excellent start. Fish oil is an excellent addition, research does show it to have an effect on fat oxidation, though it is through chronic use, not acute.
