Hello All,
I am a new member to ft.com. As a 28 year old male who used to be skinny and tone with a nice quality body I now find myself wondering what the hell happened to those days. Presently I am not that out of shape but I am now 5'11", 190#'s and have a beer belly which I can't seem to even know how to get rid of. Here's my points of this topic:
Since the New YEar is here I would like to try and get myself back in quality shape as to not feel uncomfortable anymore. I would like to take my shirt off and be proud of what's underneath and not disgusted. I am starting my work out program (thanks to ft.com) today. What I would like to know is how do I go about finding out what I should or should not eat to loose my beer belly weight during the work out/excercise process. I just very new to this and kind of need someone to map out a eating plan I guess. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the site cpbuckle.
Glad to see you are motivated to change your habits.
Start off by eating more protien less carbs and less fat.
With the excersize plan you chose from here and good diet you will lose the gut, but remember, you cannot spot reduce. The gut is the first place we get the fat and the last place to leave. Once you start building that lean tissue the protien will feed that and the stored fat in your body will be depleted.
Try 1-2 grms protien perlb of bdy weight, 1grm carbs and about 30 grms of fat.
Hope this helps, if not, ask away.
Good Luck
