Hi everyone,
I wanted to tell everyone a little about my exercise program and nutritional thoughts. I'm 180lbs and 5'11. I've been working out regularly since Feb.2003. My program is as follows: Monday and Thursday- LOWER BODY...Leg press, extension, curls, calf raises, crunches and hyperextensions. Tuesday and Friday I do UPPER BODY..Chest press, row, rear delt fly, pec dec, shoulder press, lat pulls and bicep/triceps. I throw in about 30 minutes on the treadmill 3-4 times per week. I'm feeling the best I've ever felt, and I'm truly in the best shape of my life. As for nutrition, I usually keep my diet to 2000-2200 calories per day. I try to eat about 50-60% carbs, 20-30% protein and no more than 25% fat. It is still a work in progress. Sugar is almost completely a thing of the past. I now use Splenda, and I eat whole grain (wheat) rice/pasta/bread. My wife and I both are eating well and working out. It really helps to have someone there to motivate you! I might try this free trainers workout plan, if I can somehow incorporate more of my normal routine with theirs.. We'll see! Thanks for listening. Any thoughts or advice is welcomed.

It sounds like you are on the right track. The workout programs here are a excellent start or to use as a supplement to your own program. I have learned many things here as I am sure you and your wife will also. Good luck to you and her and congrats to you and your choice to lead a healtier lifestyle.
