Hey All,
I have been trying to put together my diet plan, and am stuck when choosing foods which are going to give me complex carbs rather than simple carbs.
Am I correct in saying that complex carbs = starch while simple carbs = sugar? Or is there more to it than that?
See, ive been looking at food labels. If, for example, a product says it has 10 grams of carbs, of which 3 are from sugars. Does this mean it contains 7 grams of complex carbs (starch) and 3 grams of simple carbs (sugar)?
I think there must be more to it than that...is sugar the only simple carb, or does the above food label mean "this product could have 10 grams of simple carbs, but were only going to tell you about the 3 from sugars"?
Sorry if the question is confusing...im confused myself!
Regards,
Jez.
