For those who are against vitamin/mineral supplementation, and believe you can get all you need from a good diet, consider this information. (I have stated this numerous times, soil depletion, methods of harvesting, etc. have stripped the nutrients that once were available.....

A recent report that compared nutrient values of 43 different fruits and vegetables from the 50s with their contemporaries found deficiencies in six out of 13 nutrients: protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, riboflavin (vitamin B2), and vitamin C. What's even more disturbing is that we could be at a loss for lots of other nutrients -- like magnesium, zinc, vitamin B6, vitamin E and dietary fiber -- and not even know it because there is no data on those nutrients from the 50s to use for comparison.

Rice is a good example, and so is flour. These items get so stripped (as we all know) it's unbeleivable.

Why would anyone be against vitamin/mineral supplementation? That's almost like not drinking any water just because they heard someone else's tap water has added minerals, etc in it. Like above, if it's not life-threatening, and it adds to what we will never be able to get, why worry about it?

they do this for a lot of profit, the faster they get the produce out there, the more they plant. Most of the world revolves around money, reguardless what the outcome is. they do not realize though, that there children are eating that produce or what others make out of the produce. Perhaps they are like a lot of people and don't realize the value of vital nutrients. But yeah, screw that! they want quick profit off peoples health!!! down with evil Growers!!
