This week I, along with my community, suffered a great loss when one of our own was killed in Iraq by a roadside bomb. His name was Robert Pope and he was great guy and a good friend. I've spoken out against this war since day one and I'm not looking to get into any political battle with anyone on here, but this has got to stop because now its personal. Bob was a great guy and had so much to offer. He was recently married and looked forward to coming home to his wife and friends. Now that will never happen. Bob's parents are proud of their son but know that his death was not necessary. The last time I talked to him, he told me that the moral of the troops is low, NOT because of the lack of support from home BUT from what they see every day there and how mindless it all seems. Bob, a soldier himself, defending his country, denounced this war. I will miss him and he did not die in vain.

A true hero! And all my prayers go out to him and his family!!
One thing I have never understanded [I dont live in the US so plz guys I don't wanna talk politics} is think about how difficlt it must be when 4 000 + people are killed in your country by terrorist, You can do 2 things start a war as has happened wich can have 2 effect either you scare them off or you just piss them off more than they are already making you a target again!! The other choice is to not do anything, don't hunt them down and stuff like that but then they might see you as an easy target for more attacks!! I don't agee or disagree with the war, but something I can't understand the other day I watched a show on discovery on the 9/11 attacks and how do these people live with themselve how do they look at themselves in the mirror and how the hell do they do things like that!!! Any way my prayers really go out to all the soldiers in the world fighting other peoples wars and dying for that!!
