I was doing some late night channel surfing and saw an infomercial that sold a product that doesn't look like a worthless piece of crap. The product is called CorEvolution. It is a reverse hyper machine. You can see it at www.mycorevolution.com The damn thing even comes with a set of 3 bands to increase resistance. You can also add weight plates to it. This is a big improvement over the usual silly AB apparatus that claims to "melt fat away, tighten your waistline, and give you that six pack you've always wanted." The only problem I had with the infomercial was that they claim that the product was "revolutionary." Like this exercise has never been done before.

hmmmm. As much as I like to support elitefts, I might be tempted into this for what it costs. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to load it up like with a regular reverse hyper, but I suppose better than nothing.
Shawn, you think we could hide this under the stairs? -------------- SQUAT MORE ~Jesse Marunde Blood Guts Sweat Chalk |

Man...MAN
Our HUGE gym on campus has everything but one of these, and I've been missing it so much. There is a lot of BS in the commercial - how it uses all the fitness industry jargon...and it does look cheaply made and flimsy..but dang...it's 50 bucks. Raised my eyebrows for sure...but this is what I really want http://www.flexcart.com/members/elitefts/default.asp?m=PD&cid=251&pid=679 -------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Knew it was too good to be true. It's $49 for a 1 month trial, total of 499.50.
I don't see it being worth more than $50. Too bad Midwest Barbell doesn't carry one, they have a GHR for $300 though. I'd rather get the hyper though. -------------- SQUAT MORE ~Jesse Marunde Blood Guts Sweat Chalk |

I like how that commercial said "Until now the only way to deal with back pain was medicine or surgery". I guess all of the back strengthening movements that have been around for eons are just for fun! And I agree, $500 for that machine is pretty darn steep. Especially considering that under all of that enamel is just some cheap, rolled pot-metal construction.

Have you guys ever tried doing the reverse hyper like this:
http://asp.elitefts.com/qa/default.asp?qid=54852&tid=106 One of the Squat Rx videos shows the guy doing the reverse hyper on a flat bench using a swiss ball. I think this variation would be more comfortable than the preacher bench. I am going to try both on Tuesday. |

Without the added stretch at the bottom, these modified reverse hypers aren't much different from a lot of other hamstring movements except that you are moving your legs instead of your upper body.
