This is the seated twist

Movement Execution:

Explanation: This exercise is performed in a seated position. You will need to put something behind your shoulder for your arms to rest on, such a s a broom stick. It is in the same position a bar would be if oyu were to squat. Feet flat on the floor and back straight. Keeping your head stationary, looking forward, twist your torso to the right side. Turn as much as you can, feel the tightness. Now return to the starting position and do the same for the other side. Repeat the movement.

Helpfull Hint:

As with all abdominal exercises, it is very important that you use strict and proper form to achieve results. With seated twists, remember to keep looking forward, and to not just swing your body from side to side. Instead, concentrate on your obliques to do the work. Remember with all abdominal exercises that breating in as you relax and out as you contract is also very important! Train hard!

This is the leg raises

Movement Execution:

Explanation: To perform this exercise, it is perferrable that you lie down on the ground. Place your hands at your sides and under your buttocks if you are a beginner to make the exercise easier. Begin with your legs out straight infront of you, slightly above the ground. Next, keeping your legs straight, raise them to point directly up, or as much as you can. Contract you abdominals at this point. Lower your legs back to the starting position, but not touching the ground.

Helpfull Hint:

As with all abdominal exercises, it is very important that you use strict and proper form to achieve results. There are many variations of crunches, all targeting different areas of your abdominals. This exercise is not for the beginner. It is a little tricky to gain your balance, but when you do so this exercise will do you wonders. Remember with all abdominal exercises that breating in as you relax and out as you contract is also very important! Train hard!
