Hi Everyone! I just have one question, how many times should you train your abs? Is it too much if you train your abs everyday?

Thanks

Yes it is. Train your abs 3-4 times a week and you'll get results.

Ft has a good ab program, have you signed up for it yet? It gives you a good variety of ab exercises.

I am on week 3 of the ft abs program and I did not realize how weak my stomach was. I am sure strengthening the ole mid section will increase some of my lifts. 3 times a week sounds great!

I train my abs about 3-4 times a week, but I have been noticing a growth of muscle on my sides. This always happens when I start training my abs. What can I do to keep this from happening?

Do you train your abs with weights? If so, you'll increase the mass in your abs. Instead, just do more reps. and sets, and no weights.

Also think about working your abs isometrically -every single time you do a movement contract the abs hard. This works better than you might imagine and it's also a very good idea with manipulating big weights since you're stabilizing the body.

What works for my is to maintain the size of my abs I do weight resistance one day and the day after the next I just do crunches and such with no resistance. It seems to work for me. I do this only 2 times a week for each kind of ab training (weights,no weights) Hope that helped in some way good luck.
