Yep, I'm with Arnold on this one. The 12 week abs start nice and slow, but get worse later on. Try it. And the diet of course...... |

Cable Crunches. These really help destroy my abs. I love the workout I get from them. For Lower abs, try weighted Leg lifts. Lie down on your Back, with hands to your side, put a small dumbbell inbetween your feet, and then keep your feet about 6" off the ground, and lift them up to about 12" up. If those 2 workouts don't blast your abs pretty good..I don't know what will. Remember with abs, like anything, don't always do the same exercises, as they will adapt. Change up the Cable crunches with Crunches on a Ball, and put a weight on your chest. there are lots of exercises for abs out there. Do some research, and try a bunch out, see what gives you a good pump! |

try doing supersets and wait for the soarness to kick in the next morning.
Try something like this... (notice there is no rest period!) 15-20 crunches 15-20 Side Lying Raises (both sides) 15-20 crunches 15-20 Side Lying Raises (both sides) 15-20 crunches 15-20 Side Lying Raises (both sides) 30sec rest Crunches (Lying on floor with feet in the air parallel to the ground) do as many as you can in a fast but complete range of moton. |

============ Quoting from j_nmu: does anyone have any suggestions on how to work on my abs? I am small and skinny ( 5'1 105 lbs) and sit ups just arn't doing it. read your last sentance........sit ups alone WILL NOT do it, proper diet is the key to nice abbs. doing um all you want, you can do that workout above my post, but if your diet is mc donalds and burger king.......you can do 2000 a day......and you won't see a thing. btw just my opinon that loosk like a lil much for a abb routine ============= -------------- ....I'm probably in my underwear typing this......or maybe not! |

Table pushes are the best ab workout there is.
Meaning that unless you can push yourself away from the table and eating too much it doesn't matter how many situps, sidebends, ab roller swing glide cruncher 2000 type things you do, you won't see any results. Diet is key. |
