I used to weigh 170 pounds until I started working out around 6 days a week on all parts of my body and now I weigh 149 pounds. I was wondering, I still have extra skin around my stomach and it is hiding my abs. I do ab exercises a lot for the upper and lower abdominals, but the extra skin there doesn't seem to go away. Can anybody that knows how to get rid of it give me a pointer? Thanks.

Welcome to the site and please fill out your profile so we can help you further.
The skin covering your abs contains fat. That is really what is hiding them.
No doubt you will have to improve your diet to make them show. Keep up the good work.

I'm not an expert, but I know that I have a pudge that runs in my family..I have also read that abs go by genes too...so that's why I have come to realize that my soft tummy is ok too...I have recently switched my workout to 45-60 mins cardio 5 times a week and weights 4 times a week and the increase in cardio has helped shrink things down a LOT=)
