The media drives some of their sales points using terms that sound good. Think about how powerful the media is...as little as 12 months ago or so not too many people thought of abs (a six pack) as the holy grail of life! People thought about a good chest, or arms, etc. Now, everyone wants a six pack! Some don't realize just how silly a six pack looks if you are otherwise very skinny(mostly guys). I have had people approach me looking to get a six pack, when there arms are about as big as toothpicks, and no chest. Even people on this board that ask about abs, I always try to stress make sure you are satisfied with your other muscle size first, because one thing to remember, when you start to seek that "holy grail", all other gains will most likely stop due to the necessary diet. So, do yourself a favor, go for some muscle size before you try for your six pack if you are already very lean. Be smart with your physique, do not listen to the media. Just some thoughts and observations.

Great point BBfit - the media makes people think that people can get great abs with whatever new machine/toy they happen to be selling. Like, whatever happened to "truth in advertising" ?(facious statement) Seems that companies selling these products can get away with any claims - even if they aren't true. Really great for the poor people who buy these products, just to have them not work. It kills motivation for these people who need it most!
