so i'm curious how does one go about trying to get that V look from their waist pelvic ab area? just keep doing situps, crunches and all the other fun stuff or is there something else i can add into my routine to focus on that areas? any ideas welcome

jonnnyko... V shape is not available by doing situps and crunches.. u have to do lateral exercises.. chinning bars are the best.. then u can do cable pulldowns and cable seated pulls.. etc...

get a program from FT for urself.. it'll include everything..

You need to get a wide upper body. So shoulder and back exercises. Do develop your abs too though, or else you'll look out of proportion.

Yep, the wide shoulders and wide back will give that appearance of a smaller waistline even if it not all that small.
