Very new here, but wonder if anyone has used an exercise ball to obtain results in reducing lower ab fat? If so, is there a site that specifically gives those type exercises? Tks. S.

Nothing will cause spot reduction but the ball is an excellent exercise tool. Welcome to FT.

I feel it hits alot more of my abbs, cause I can get a good stretch, and it also supports the back and theres no pressure points like machines. As for getting rid of the fat.......theres not a device or excercise to get rid of that fat. Thats cardio and diet there. Well technically there is a machine, but its about 20 grand, and it requires a plastic surgen.

Tks for reply. Do you have a favorite link to gather exercises for the ball...keeping in mind, I'm just a beginner? S.

There are ab ball workouts right there at FT. When you fill out your exercise profile there is a block to check for ab balls under equipment.

putting your hands under you legs makes it easier, squeezing a round thing between your legs would make the, adductors and junk come into play, all you want is abbs. Use a light db, easier on the keens and ancles and back.

I believe you will want a swiss ball, not a medicine ball. The ball is great from a standpoint of making you unstable, this in turn leads you to have to use more balance, thus incorporating the stabilizers, and working the core muscles that get neglected often.
