Just wondering if anyone here has had acupuncture, and did it work for you? I have a whole slew of problems that I need treated. I have an appointment tomorrow, and I'm just wondering what to expect. If anyone can offer any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

I had really good results from acupuncture.
When I started school for health sciences i had really bad posture and as i started to correct the problem, I had a lot of back and hip problems. Acupuncture relieved the pain in my hip that nothing else seemed to help, so it made a believer out of me.
God luck, I hope it helps you!

Cora, how did it go? I've been going through acupuncture for allergy related things... the doctor wanted me to take a pile of antihistamines and I didn't want to do that... so, acupuncture seemed to work for me... it's been working for my son and daughter too...
It really helps their moods... also, I had a terribly stiff neck a couple of weeks ago... could hardly lift my arm... had the treatment in the evening, the next day it was like new...

Ya... I was getting a rash of sorts.. very itchy... the doc suggested the pills.. tried 'em.. didn't work... so, we tried acupuncture... we did find out I have slight allergies to peanuts (I can still eat them), wheat, cats, and a bad reaction to red food dye...
It always seemed I'd get these rashes and have tried the acupuncture and things seemed to have turned around somewhat... I still avoid the red food dye...
I also had a problem with really achey knees... not sure what it is or why it is, but the docs couldn't find anything either... the needles seemed to have helped..

So far, it's going really well! I have to go back for at least two more treatments, but the pain is not nearly as severe. He did tell me that I have a blood deficiency and he's supposed to proscribe some chinese herbs to help with it. So far so good!

It helped me loose weight! I lost about fifteen pounds in three months.
