I do parallel bar dips a lot in my workouts and for whatever reason they are pretty easy for me. What is the best way to add weight? I could hold a medicine ball between my feet but the heaviest one we have is 8lbs.

A dipping belt is likely the best and least awkward. Can pick 'em up just about anywhere.

Yep, just strap a weight on with the belt. Another way I used to do when I belonged to a gym that did not have one was set a dumbbell on the platform. Cross your feet around the dumbbell, and do your dips.
