Hi All,

I'm new here and just started working out and am so in need of advice!!
Ok here goes

5.7inches
140 pounds
I have lost my firmness over the past 6 months. I dont know what has happend but its all flab now. And I have a tummy to boot that was never there before!

I have joined a gym and start working with a trainer from tomorrow. Also watching what I am eating!

My question is: I am drinking whey protein shakes after doing weight training - this is good right?

In the past I have used hydroxycut for short periods of time. I started taking them again last week. But I only take 3 a day (if that).

What other supp's could/should I be taking to help me along?? I'm lost and i know you guys get asked this 100 times per week, so sorry!

Any advice will be appreciated!!!

Well, when it comes to weight loss, the only truly effective supplement is TIME. You need to make a lifestyle change and you need to want to change. Focus on eating a clean diet and make sure you always plan ahead so that you stay the course. This probably isn't what you want to hear, but I tell my clients this and I will tell you, there are absolutely no magical pills or supplements. You need to have some discipline, will power and the will to succeed, The rest will come in due time. Stay patient and good luck.

I am changing my eating habits and cutting out all those fatty foods! I hear ya about it not being an overnight success but a matter of time!

One other thing you might try is to keep a daily diary on what you are consuming, When I don't I will over eat every time. Keeping a diary keeps me on track.

I have been fighting trying to lose weight since I started really exercising in January 2003. FINALLY!!!! I have lost 5-1/2 pounds!!!! I got some VERY GOOD ADVICE from this website and have put it into action and it is really working. I am so happy. Also, I can finally tell that my body is changing, my legs are getting slimmer (more muscular but smaller) and I just feel "different" in general. So when they say TIME is what it takes, that is the TRUTH, trust me, I am living proof!!
