I am looking for a bit of advice about aerobic training.
I am a beginner and will soon start a 4 day a week weight training routine taken from the FT site with the aim of losing weight. I would like to combine some sort of aerobic work with the weight training though and was wondering how to best go about this.
I have heard (don't know if it is true) that the best way to train if you want to do aerobic work is to do a weights routine first then do some aerobic work. Firstly, is this true or is it better to do aerobic work on days when you are not lifting weights. Secondly, how often is it safe to train? Last year, I tried an exercise plan where I lifted weights three evenings a week and did aerobic exercise (old Gilad Janklowicz exercise tapes) five mornings a week and ended up overtraining.
The aerobic work I'd be looking at doing would be Nordic Ski or treadmill exercise by the way.
Any advice anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.
