I have a question, does it matter if during a workout, for example, on bicep and tricep day that i alternate the exercises for those muscle groups. for example, i will start off with my curls, after finished with the entire 4 sets, move onto tricep extensions. or should i do another bicep exercise. just wondering if i am taking away from my workout...

No that sounds good. You shouldn't go to your triceps immediately after, wait 5-10 minutes and you should be ok.

I usually train biceps on different days then triceps, because they are such small muscles. Gives more energy and blood flow to target the specific muscle.
