HI i have been at my training schedule for a week now and am finding push ups and dips extremley hard and am only completing a maximum of about 6 reps. I know i'll get better but is there an alternative for those muscle groups particularly for the dips that may be a little more executable???

placing your arms higher than your feet will help for both push ups and dips, as it shifts more of your body weight off your arms. You can do this by doing push ups on a step for example.

after a while, when you get stronger, you can start lowering your arm position

good luck.
