Angle for a decline bench...

Thanks for the input guys. It helps very much. I have two benches and one does slant lower than the other. And when I do declines on that bench I feel like I'm going to slide off. Do guys have this problem?

The bench I use (at the gym) has foot rests on it to stop the sliding.
Perhaps if you have something to place your fee on, you will prevent the sliding.

Does anyone know the correct angle for doing a decline bench? I have to different adjustable benches. One declines more than the other. So know I don't know if I have the correct angle for decline bench.

Most people shoot for a 45 degree angle. That is what I use.

I usually go for about a 30 degree angle. The higher the angle, the more you incorporate your front delts into the exercise. Overall, it seems like a matter of personal preference for most people.

do them all, each angle places a different stress on different muscles and areas worked. My fav thing to do.........start with flat flys....up it 10 degrees.....do more flys....up it 10 more degrees....do sommore flys.
its called mutli angle flys.
