Hi all, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Nicole, 28 y.o from Edmonton, Canada. I've been running a lot the last couple of years, but have really neglected the strength training aspect. I have signed up, and am looking forward to starting my new program at the gym tonight! I just have one question about choosing weight - how do you determine what 60% is? It's been a long time since I have done weight training consistently (about a year), and I'm not sure how to choose weights so I am getting what I need, but also not too much so I hurt myself.
Just start lifting and you will find the right weights, it takes time, i don't usually go by percentages, i go by what I could lift with good form for the required reps.
