Hi! I'm Cathy, a 36 year old female that needs a lot of help. I'm about 125 lbs overweight and fed up. I have tried many diets in the past...nothing helps. I would really like to know how I can eat all of those calories, etc and still lose weight...it seems like way too many to me. Also, with all of the exercises that I was given, it seems like I will "bulk" up instead of lose weight and tone. Can anyone help me?

Hi Cathy and welcome to freetrainers. Your program probly gave you alot of calories because it is taking into consideration that you are or will be exercising by doing weights and cardio.
Remember that these calories should come from Protein, Good Carbs, and good fats. You will see with execise and proper diet, not a fad diet you will be on your way to success.
Don't worry about bulking up. Female genetics will not allow you to bulk, unless you have some freaky genes or start to use steroids.
Give it all you can and start feeling good Cathy.
Good Luck

Carivan took the words right out of my mouth. Unless you're taking some hormone altering supliments, you shouldn't worry about really bulking up. Yep, you might get a bit more firm.. but hey, are you going to prefer flab over muscle mass? Heck no.
To sucessfully work out, your body is going to need the fuel. If not, you'll get worn out, frustrated, and give up. (happens alot) It's going to take time and lots of effort, and faith. You can do it! Good luck!

Welcome celvre. Dido to what carivan has put out. The more you burn the more you need to replace in order to be healthy and lean. And it needs to be good stuff. Good luck on your goals.
