That is it in a nutshell. Asking to see if any of you have experienced or heard of a nice place to perform for simplicity sake - marriage vows in Florida. Fiancially, that will do it for us plus I love the beaches. Just wondered if anyone has been thru it there and any advice - this will take place...in August so I'm biting the time on this but being its he and I.............should be workable. Thanks for any clues!

Congratulations!

We were in Seagate, Florida last August, on the Gulf side, and it was beautiful. Not crowded, nice condo, we'd go again in a minute.

The realtor we rented our condo from is in Seagrove, you can reach them at 850-231-4205. It was about $100 per day, nothing fancy but VERY romantic with the ocean literally right out the back door.

A friend of mine got married in Destin, Florida a couple winters ago. She said she loved it and it was fairly inexpensive compared to traditional church weddings. Like, I think the cake, photographer, minister, etc etc are all included in the package.
Good luck!

Are you looking for something in a more populated area with a lot of accoutrements? The most beautiful and private place I have ever been to is Cumberland Island. It is really in GA, but we always go when in FL, as it is off the coast of the FL/GA stateline. You have to take a ferry over so you would have to take your minister and witnesses over with you. On that one little island are several different eco-systems and the beaches are gorgeous. There are wild horses and sea turtles. The history is interesting also, do a google search if you have time. There is an Inn on the Island, Greyfield, but I dont know how hard it is to get reservations and it is rather pricey. But isn't a wedding night worth a few extra bucks? Anyway, that is my 2 cents.
