With such a topic so broad we truly try to cover the basics from all angles in this group. Nothing too big or too small. Nutrition is as significant if not more as exercise is to reaching your goals so learn all you can.
I used to come here religiously...then I had a child (who is now 4). I lost track of the site and my old fit body. I am trying to regain some of my old fitness lifestyle back. I know it will never be the same as I cannot allow for 2-4 hours a day at the gym (it used to be our home away from home), but I am getting back in 2-3 times a week and soon the weather will be park worthy again.
Anyways...just wanted to say hello and see if the old members are still around (and maybe remember me).
I guess I'm one of the classics also! I'm right with you except I didn't give birth. :-) I went from muscular 200 lb 10% body fat -> 250 lb 30ish % body fat. I have been traveling a lot for work and drinking to much. I started with a new diet and I'm currently at 228 lb. I now need the motivation to hit the gym and get ripped again. It's hard at 47, soon to be 48! Oh, by the way ... my profile picture was from 4 years ago, lol.
Wow, nice to be back. I lost touch from the site a long time ago. I was in such great shape, then life happened-had a couple more kids, trying to balance a full-time job and going to school full-time while still taking care of my family. I have decided that I need to get my act together now that my kids are getting older and I am finished with school. When I last came on this site, religiously, I had exceeded my fitness goals to the point that I was contemplating doing some competitions. I don't necessarily have that drive anymore but I definitely have some changes to make. I would like to lose about 30 lbs and am hoping that this site will give me that motivation once again.
