Hi. I am brand new to ft. I am a college student (female) trying to shed a few (well, ok...30) pounds by graduation. Is anybody else out there in college? How do you fit working out inbetween classes? Anyway, I hope to get to know you all a little better over the next few months. Wish me luck!!

Smiles, welcome to ft! We hope you will achieve your goals as others have already. I'm not in school, but working like a dog! The only time for me to workout is late in the afternoon, after work. Anyway, you'll find lots of motivation here.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

When I was still powerlifting, I was attending UNLV with a dual major... boy that sucked! Anyway, I'm sure you can do it, and you're on the right site to help you. Just dedicate yourself to your goals. If you ever need any advice, just ask us!
Best of luck to you...........Michael

Hi Smiles, lovely name and lovely to have you in here with us as well.
No me too, I'm no longer in school, I just wanted to welcome you. One thing I often hear is your student people having probs about eating several small (healthy!!) meals every day. We have been discussion this prob before and actually it's up to you, if you want to do it or not. I mean you are going for a life style change here and we are all with you!!
Good luck!

Another idea (no, I'm not in school either, my youngest starts school in 3 more years *yippee!* and then hopefully I'll get to go back), is to take a weight training or phys ed class as one of your electives. It's basically an easy 'A' if you commit to going to class, and it guarantees that you'll have time to work out!

finding time to workout cna be tough. I was able to talk my ROTC instructor into letting me lift while other people are at PT, so i get up at 450 3 days and the other two days i work out at 1 after classes. anybody have any tips on snacks/supplements/MRPs or ways to get around mess hall food, nutrition is a problem here.
