Okay so summer is right around the corner and I was wondering what is the fastest yet healthiest way to lose about 30-35 pounds. If anyone could help that would be great.

Yes I have started that.

Currently i'm doing the 1000 calories a day diet. Is it worth it? Do you have any clue how long it would take me to lose this amount and also what kind of exercising should I do? Im really knew to this whole diet and workout thing and confused on what exercises I should work on.

Your metabolism will crash on 1000 calories a day and you will end up fatter than before, having lost muscle. Don't go below 1200 calories, most women acn get good resulsta round 1500 calories, but it will depend on how many calories you body is used to getting.

Safe weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week, this means you are losing fat and not muscle.

Start lifting weights - a total body routine 3X a week will be a good start, with cardio on the days inbetween. Alternate the types and intensity of cardio.

Fill out your profile and more people will answer you.

Look in the different forums for answers to your questions, there are many posts similar to yours. Also, try fit buddy, the search engine at the bottom of the screen.

For a free workout routine fill out the question under exercise program at the top of the page, it will generate a workout based on your fitness level, beginner, and what equipment you have access to.

Click on "exercise program" and go from there. As asimmer mentioned, you need to fill out your profile so people know more about you so they can help you better, age, gender, weight, goals, current diet, etc. And it is 1-2 pounds a week, I would draw the line at 2 1/2, any more is too much and unhealthy. Wwelcome to FT and good luck!!!

Also in total agreement with asimmer on calories, 1000 is WAY too low for anyone in my opinion. Hard to say what is right for you since again, we don't know anything about you, gender, current weight, diet, etc. Fill out that profile and answer some of these questions.

Up in the left hand corner there are boxes - exercise program, nutritional plan, inbox, etc. Check them all out - lots of good info.
