I am.. 6th year in a row.. would not miss is it for anything! The mens competition list is not ready yet but the official site says that Ronnie and Cutler will be there for sure!.. that would be sweet.. .o0 Arnold 0o.

Very high percent of photos of natural bodybuilders show men who are on steroids. I know quite a few if these men and I know of what I speak. So, steroids become common drugs for those who become cover of magazines such as Muscle&Fitness, Flex, MuscleMag, and many more. They just don't admit it. Any comments ??

Arnold Posts: 1,112 Joined: 2000/11/27	2002/01/03, 06:57 PM I agree with Philia.. Steroids are and always WILL be a part of body building as they are with the majority of all Professional sports. The use of these substances is just much more noticeable with our sport because we sculpt our bodies with them instead of aiming to throw a ball farther.. Cigs, alcohol as well as obesity are just a dangerous if not to a higher degree and are abused much more in the world than steroids. An average 'small' cycle of steroids has the same damage on your liver as one 'heavy' night of alcohol - FACT. There are no such thing as natural bodybuidling competitions. These guys use drugs for years then take a few months off.. wait for them to be untraceable and so they can pass the drug test and say they are clean. Plus there are many ways to trick the drug test. These shows give false hope to indiviuals who look upto them. It will be VERY interesting to see what happens with BodyBuilding in the Olympics since they have been allowed to be part of them as a new event.. Good Health to All .o0 Arnold 0o.

Only the top 5 or so pros make any real money from the shows, the rest is from sponsors and personal appearances. .o0 Arnold 0o.

Well I assume that you are getting the tickets to the events on their own rather than the VIP correct? Well first thing is to get into the EXPO for Friday.. it will be packed but there will be tons of free stuff like protein, creatine, clothes, pro hormones, tons of stuff. Then the womens fitness and womens bodybuilding prejuding's are held at the expo.. so grab a seat if you are early. Saturday I would say that is the busiest day for the expo.. and I mean busy! Like you can barely walk down the ailes. But to me the expo is amazing.. all the pro's, fitness models, experts.. it's nuts! Plus there are constant competitions oin the middle stage for bench and stuff like that. Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger himself goes through the expo each day.. with a bunch a security gaurds. There is a good chance that you will shake his hand. For the mens pre-judging, it doesn't really matter what seats you have. Cause most of the front seats are empty, so I just go to the front.. never have any problems with that and I get to be close to the main event. The evening show is always sold out though so you'll get the seat you buy. Then if you are interested for the banquet after the night show, you can get a ticket from scalpers outside.. I paid $30US for mine. You can't get them any other way because they come with the VIP package. It's great.. all the pros are there.. there is tons of good food (chicken breasts, lasagna, etc). Very good time to say hi to someone you admire. Plus Arnold comes there as well and makes a speech.. it's tons of fun. Well that's a quick summary of the whole event.. I just love the atmosphere! I'll go for the rest of my life if I can. .o0 Arnold 0o.

Anyhow, thanks for the reply and I will make sure I will be there Friday. Where do you recommend I stay? Or is getting decent rooms impossible? Another question. Are there many people scalping tickets because I wouldn't want to miss the buffet? ~billk~

You may hav some trouble getting rooms at this time.. go to the arnoldclassic.com website and click to hotels. They have a list and phone numbers for almost all hotels since they usually sell out. This is the biggest weekend for Columbus all year. It wasn't a porblem getting the buffet tickets last year. The scalpers will be around all weekend.. but ofcourse the prices will be lower as the buffet gets closer.. of course. .o0 Arnold 0o.
