I did a search on the topic of insulin spiking and am getting a better understanding of the subject, but I do have a question or two:
1. I am using the AST HSC creatine, the label states 33gr.
of carbohydrates, and 33gr. sugars (dextrorotatory
glucose crystals). Are these the same dextrose/malto
combo that will provide the insulin spike?
2. According to my body weight I need 38gr. each of
dextrose/malto/protein. The AST HSC creatin contains only
33gr of the dextrose/maltose, so to make up for the other
5gr. required, should I add a homemade mixture of
dextrose/maltose to the creatine drink, or to the protein
drink? Assuming the AST creatine in question provides the
insulin spike I am seeking.
Thanks guys.

The products you are talking about will do the trick. I have used these for the past year with excellent results(22 lbs in about 4 1/2 months, and can still wear my 29 pants) These products are pure glucose and is more than adequate. I also use there DGC to add more high glycemic carbs.

Yes, HSC and DGC are both quality products, and I know for a fact they do the job of an inulin spike, my wife is diabetic and has a blood sugar test kit...I have monitored it with a variety of things...HSC will kick it right up there.
