I am a female soccer player, and am on my way to a Division One soccer school next year, but I am concerned about getting the proper nutrition. As a result, I have drastically changed the way I eat (for the better), but am having trouble figuring out how to adjust the recommended nutritional requirements (based on the Harvard food pyramid)so that I can still perform well in soccer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I do not agree in any way with their protein requirements. Their protein recommendations suck, 0-2 times per day???

And they say whole grains at each meal, that is well and good, but you need to moderate that, especially for your body type, metabolism, etc. That pyrmamid stikes me as for just a "normal" decent diet, not for an athelete.
