Okay - sounds gross, but this stuff is awesome! It is dehydrated yam flakes called Yammit! from Jay Robb Enterprises - one scoop is 35 grams of carbs, no fat and 2g protein. You can eat it straight as a snack or add it to shakes, sprinkle on food, etc.
It tastes awesome and adds something new to your dietary arsenal for carb consumption without guilt. Also easy to put ina baggie and snack on at work!

I'm trying to imagine this...is it like potato flakes or more chunky like maybe sunflower seeds?

Hi there, how are you? Your snack sounds very interesting and may give it a shot. I'm writing because you look like you've made a fabulous transformation with your body. I have been going through some frustratins with my diet and workouts lately and was wondering if you could offer me some nutritional advice. Anything will help, I feel like i have a huge layer of fat covering my muscles and don't know what to do.

Search through the message boards - there are tons of similar posts.
Basically eat five to six small meals a day, consisting of protein, complex carbs (veggies) and whole grains (brown rice).
exercise, push the wieghts, and know in your mind it will work, it just takes time.
Good Luck!

Oh, sorry azredhead. The texture reminds me of pop rocks - do you remember those? Little crunchy bits.

Andrea, fill in your profile so we can help more. You should put in there your age, sex, height, weight, BF%, long term and short term goals. :) Then someone would be able to help a bit more. Also, I'd suggest using the exercise program that this site provides. :)

Pop rocks eh? Sounds interesting! Where do you buy these?

Andrea, I don't know your particular situation, but I feel the frustration in your post. I had been working out for 2 years before I found this site. I was making progress, but not enough to keep me motivated. I had thought that having been sedentary most of my life that just starting to work out 4 times a week should make the pounds just fly off. WRONG! I didn't really understand the process until I cam here and started getting all this great info and help. I wasn't eating right, or enough, and I wasn't lifting heavy enough. I was just going through the motions as far as my lifting. Don't get me wrong, it was helping. I could feel muscles developing, but I was kind of spinning my wheels. I was also under the impression that the more cardio the better. WRONG AGAIN! I have seen as much gain in definition in the last 2 months as the entire 2 years before. I was really frustrated and ready to quit. There is a lot of good info here and lots of great people who are more than willing to help you with your goals. The biggest problem with living in this country these days is our demand for instant gratification, and our disappointment when we don't get it. Don't give up. It takes time. And with that thought I am changing my signature quote to one I read this morning.

Doesn't dehydrated products have a higher sugar content?

Yammit is low sugar - all yams.
It can be found at Jayrobb.com in his supplements section.
I would guess you could dehydrate sweet potatos yourself, but it is easier for me to just send off for it.
Andrea, I answered your eamail, don't stress, it takes time and consistency and dialing it all in so that it works. Sometimes less is more.
