back exercises?

i noticed that in my program-the tone up and definition program there aren't any back exercises.i've heard that if you train abs(i'm also doing the 12 week ab program)without training the back also you will have back pain because you are just training the front.and i've found that in recent years when training the abs i use to get back pain.what can i do and if i should exercise the back which exercises should i do.thanx guys your all gems!!

Are you going to a gym? Try to do three exercises at the very least I like 4-5. For lower back, you have deadlifts and hyperextensions. middle and upper back you have the rows and lat pull downs. Ft has all of these listed with discriptions and pics to see.

Well, I would be shocked if ft didn't give you any back exercises, but just in case, here are 3 that in combination are very good, will hit all 3 areas of the back. If you can, fairly wide grip chins are best, but if you can't do them(lots of people can't), then next best are lat pulldowns, just wider than shoulder width, bent over BB rows, and finish up with hyperextensions for lower back. Especially just starting, these should suffice nicely. There are many more for sure, but really 3 are plenty. Just make sure the 3 you choose hit all areas of the back. A ripped back looks awesome!
