I was doing my shoulder workout last night when during a lift I felt a little twinge in my back. I really couldnt tell right off the bat how serious it was but today it really hurts.
The weird thing is that it only hurts when say I look forward but move my upper body left or right. when i do this I can tell it hurts below the left shoulder blade toward my spine. I think you call this area the "back strap". the chunk of muscle on the outside of the very middle of your back. But yet when i push on the area to see where it hurts exactly it doesnt hurt, only pain i get is when i move and twist.
the pain is like a sharp pain really dont know how else to describe it.
but here is the real problem. the last time i hurt my back it was basically the same place. I was out for 2 weeks. I dont mind being out for two weeks if that is what it takes to get back to normal and i understand that 2 weeks wont kill all the gains i have been making.
Problem is this time if i am out for two weeks by the time I will be ready to lift again it will be time to go on my trip on June 7. During this trip there is no access to weights.
SO that would mean I would Have 1 MONTH OFF from lifting. How bad can this be for everything I have worked so hard for and what can really happen to my gains in 1 month. Seems like a long time and I am getting worried about it.
I take a month off every 6-12 months depending on how hard I have trained and i see much beeter results after wards...sometimes the rest is better than not having rest
