I get a soar back from time to time for no apparent reason sometimes for the past few years. Are there any lifts I can do to get this random pain to decrease?
You can also use the fitBuddy search engine at the bottom of this page. Years ago when I had some major problems, I avoided heavy overhead moves. If you have access to a lat bar you can do some heavy pulldown movements. That has an affect similar to traction that helps relieve some disc pressure on the sciatic nerve.
