I started incorporating barbell rows into my back workouts regularly a few months back. Since then I've played around with grips, wider, more narrow, overhand, underhand, etc.
I've found that underhand tends to hit my biceps more while overhand tends to hit my traps more.
What has everyone else found?

should be the same for everyone. Underhand hits your biceps because your holding the bar in your hands, the same way you would hold it for a curl except your back is bent over. If you want to do barbell rows for back you should u overhand grip either shoulder width or wider.

I've been thinking that I need to bend over further to lessen the work of my traps and increase that of my back. The only issue with that is that I keep my lower back tight while I bend over and sort of stick my ass out. Doing that almost acts like a shorter version of a SL dead for my lower back and isn't really possible if I do deads of SL deads first in the workout.

Ive done alot of barbell rows and also tried many variations while i mainly do the standard bent over barbell row....if you are having trouble adjusting to that I would reccomend the T bar row seamed to be the easiest for me to focus on back before i started getting BOR down

oh forgot about this but if you do like a 10 rep 10 set super workout, you will feel the next morning if you hit the back muscles or not

does anyone else put their heads against anything for support when they lean over for rows? i find using the pad on a dip/leg raise station works great, and helps me to stay bent over more so the rows don't turn into standing rows by my last few reps. this might also address the issue with BORs being more of a lower back workout when you want to focus on upper back.

Good thought, I'll give it a try and see what I think.
