I think he did at one time.-------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. I wanted to get everyone's opinion on Barry Bonds. Is he on roids? Is he not on roids? You've all seen what the human body is capable of with lots of training, what are your thoughts? My weight training teacher/coach says he doesn't think Barry is on steroids because he didn't get more cut, he just got bigger, and with age that tends to happen if you continue to lift...something like that.

What barry accomplished is possible without steroids....steady weight gain...that is.....7-10lb a year....HOWEVER....despite being a barry fan...I do think he took steroids at one point on and off for probably 2-4 years....
There are many types of steroids...some are used to cut, some are used to gain mass, some are used to gain strength, anything in between those,etc....your coach doesn't seem to know much in the area to have any sort of opinion on this topic....for every mcguire, sosa, bonds....there were probably 3x the pitchers using diff types of steroids to help their bodies recover.....what many people dont get is that those skinny pitchers were much more likely to use the roids than those big guys u see....

I personally think that the 22 million dollar man (Roger Clemens) juiced. Look at him when he started, he was a toothpick, now he is as big as a house. Plus I am jealous that he will make more this year, or what is left of this year than most will in their entire life.

He's 40..past his "prime"....he did what he had to do to play. If I was in his shoes....and I wanted to play bad enough......i'd do it too and I bet for millions a year.. you would too.
His body..let it go...I don't think he should be in the hall of fame..... if he'd sucked there wouldn't be any say about it...its only cause he started cranking out home runs. He still an A-hole though. -------------- Get your bicep curling, cut off shirt, matching workout outfit wearing, flexing in mirror "toned" wanna-be ass , out of my squat rack! I must say I tend to agree with whoever was Null on the previous post. We have no idea how many of the popular athletes are using steroids, and there's still technically no proof. Even if he had the help of steroids, he has been by far one of the greatest of all time. The numbers he put up were ridiculous, even on steroids.-------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. My question is this, why the fuss? It is not like the roids made him a better hitter. That is a natural talent. I do not agree with him taking them cause they are banned by his profession. But just like a bodybuilder you can take all the roids you want they will do NOTHING if you are not driven to work at it.-------------- Less Talk, More Chalk! sorry guys I got logged out...
steroids do improve reaction time...which is essential hitting 90-100mph fast ball or what not... however my point is that there's no definitive proof...just a bunch of guys talking crap behind his back and people breaking the law to leak sealed testimony.... I really dont get why there's any talk of this at all....worst case scenario he took it and it's no worse than 50+% of the league which took some form of performance enhancing drugs...government is just trying to distract the public from the MUCH bigger concerns....I personally could give a sht about this whole bit....I enjoy barry play and that's the extent of it for me...I hate holier than thou attitude by many journalists, government officials, as well as the public who try to single out and hang this guy... for crying out loud this is just a GAME... a sport....yes it has become a big business...but if that's the case go after the CEO (Bud Selig...who oversaw all this and did nothing)not after low level employees no matter how popular he may be...

I do not think that the public would be so bad on him if he was not such a jerk. But then again they did turn on Big Mac for that Senate fiasco

I say he's only a jerk because everyone has completely taken away all of the incredible things he did and worked hard at. He's got records that seem untouchable and nobody even cares anymore. It wouldn't feel too good in my opinion, and the press or fans never leave him alone. Imagine someone taking away all credit for your accomplishments by talking about you behind your back and it getting spread and everyone turning on you, except on a nationwide scale.-------------- I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious. --Vince Lombardi "Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Mac? I heard about him for about 5 sec day after...then nothing....
so the guy is aloof or introverted...or whatever else...I can tell you that not everyone is an extrovert like TO and hogs the attention as much as possible...all the things that people cite that make him a jerk are very neutral looking to me.... and even if he does happen to be a jerk...there's still no basis for the crap that's happening to him on the sidenote LOL @arizona pitcher busted for GH....and then ratting out bunch others....he bulked at cooperating with FBI further after they asked him to wear a mic to nail bonds... |
