I just wanted to ask about the amount of fat that drips off from burgers after they are bbq-ed. before cooking them they are 27 grams protein , and 34 grams fat. how much fat do u think is left in them after cooking them cuz i see a loooot of oil dripping away.
by the way, please dont say u shouldnt be eating those fatty burgers cuz im bulking and i've been eating them for 4 months with good results. i was just kinda curious.

Don't have an answer to that one. Buy the leanest cuts of beef you can find. Hopefully someone else has that answer.

I don't have any idea - I eat burgers, too, though so no yelling here - I buy lean burger and for a change try bison; I just posted a recipe for bison burgers in the pork thread. It makes terrific burgers and is very lean.

Where do you get the bison meat? I've heard about it all over, but I never see it in the supermarket.

Deer is a great tasting extremly lean meat... Though I am not sure if you can buy it ground; well at least not from the super market. You may need to go to a farm, or get hooked up by a hunter if you know one. Thats where we get our deer meat.

Yeah, but what about bison, or buffalo, I hear about it and see more buffalo these days, but I never see the meat anywhere

There are several places on line that you can order buffalo from (just do a web search for it). I know that most Trader Joe's carries the hamburger patties, and you should be able to get it from a local butcher/meat store (not grocery store)...

They just opened a Wild Oats natural grocery where we live and they carry bison in the frozen section as well as fresh at the meat counter sometimes. I believe the food co-op here has it frozen, too - any natural market should carry bison.
